Forklift Safety Train-the-Trainer Course


Course Description

The course focuses on the new OSHA training regulations, how they affect your company and how to comply with the new standards. At the end of our course, your trainers will have the tools and knowledge to return to work and establish an “in-house” training program that is specific to your company’s operation and equipment types, while meeting OSHA requirements.

The course duration is two days. Day one will include a training session that walks the trainers through the course material and prepares them to administer the training materials. Day two is a coaching session where the trainers will present the material to a group of trainees with an on-site coach to provide feedback and assistance.

Participants will receive:

  • Instructor's guide for lift truck training complete with lesson plan, training & documentation requirements, federal & state OSHA standards, etc.
  • Reproducible copy of student training material & certificates
  • Battery and gasoline / LPG safety requirements
  • Pre-shift operator inspection forms
  • Hands-on driving course set-up and evaluation information
  • Written tests (and answers)
  • Certificates of completion

Certificates and wallet cards will be issued to attendees who successfully complete both the written test and hands-on driving evaluation.

Course Requirements

Company must provide a forklift capable of passing a pre-operation inspection and an area suitable for setting up a driving course. Company must provide trainees for day two coaching session.

Number of participants is limited to 4 trainers per session.
